On the penultimate Friday of June, we at Aplast officially opened our new office building, marking an important milestone in the development of our company. The new building is not only an architectural achievement but also a symbol of strategic decisions, dedicated work, and a long-term vision that has guided the company for more than two decades. It is designed with employees and their needs in mind, offering modern conditions for work, collaboration, and continued growth. The reception area also features a large exhibition space.
We commemorated the opening with an internal event for our colleagues, where we took the opportunity to reflect on the key accomplishments of recent years. Over the past decade, we have undertaken a number of significant investments, including the construction of a technologically advanced rotomolding production hall, the renovation of our welding and milling facilities, the establishment of a new tool shop, and the development of two modern production halls, where we will gradually introduce robotic production lines. These investments clearly reflect the company’s direction toward modern, automated, and sustainable production.
Today, Aplast comprises a total of 11,000 square meters dedicated to production and business operations. As one of the leading companies in the field of plastic processing using rotomoulding technology in Slovenia and Central and Eastern Europe, we are also successfully expanding into the broader European market. Our exported products are recognized for their high quality, safety, and efficiency. All these developments represent a clear commitment to modern, automated, and sustainable manufacturing.
At the opening ceremony, Aplast’s Director, Branko Potočnik, emphasized that the company has come a long way over the past two decades. He said:“We started with limited capacities, big goals, and most importantly, dedicated people. In these 20 years, we have carried out numerous important investments — in facilities, machinery, knowledge, and above all, in people,” and concluded his thoughts with the words: “A sincere thank you to all our colleagues in the company and the group for your daily commitment, ideas, effort, and reliability. I am proud of what we have achieved together and look forward to the future we will continue to shape together.”
At the opening, we also organized fun activities for the employees of the affiliated companies Aplast, Jakob Holding, Vodoplast Promet, and Zagožen, which added excitement to the event. We enjoyed games of table football, air hockey, and darts — and the main attraction was the mechanical bull. The titles of "Rodeo Champion" and "Rodeo Queen" were awarded to the top bull riders. For additional entertainment, Tanja Žagar delighted everyone with her musical performance.
The new administrative building is not only intended to improve the organization of work in sales, finance, and management, but also serves as a space that opens new opportunities for business meetings and collaborations. We currently employ 137 team members at this location, and the company is actively expanding its team, especially in production. If you are interested in working in a modern, development-oriented environment, we invite you to check out our open positions on our website.
At the opening of the new building, we also expressed our gratitude to everyone involved in its planning, construction, and setup. This new facility will bring fresh energy, a greater sense of pride, and further strengthen the sense of belonging to the shared story we are creating together.
We invite you to take a look at a few photo highlights from the event.
