At Aplast we have successfully commissioned an advanced energy storage system with 500 kW of power and a capacity of 1 MWh. With this, we have taken an important step towards even greater energy efficiency and independence. The battery storage system, together with an advanced Energy Management System (EMS), enables us to:

monitor energy consumption in real time,

adapt business processes to electricity prices,

reduce energy consumption from the grid and increase self-sufficiency from our own solar power plants, and

reduce peak loads and energy costs.

Let us recall that in recent years, Aplast has covered its roof surfaces with more than 2,800 solar panels with a total output of 1.1 MW. Together with the solar power plant in our parent company Zagožen, we form one of the largest solar power systems in the municipality of Žalec. The battery storage system and solar power plant are not only an investment but also our commitment to sustainable development, a lower carbon footprint and responsible business operations.
