We Celebrate World Water Day

20. 3. 2026

On Sunday, 22 March, we celebrate World Water Day, a day that reminds us of the vital role water plays in life, development and social equality. Water is the foundation of life, development and the future. It is not only a basic necessity but also a key factor in social and economic progress. It is a resource that connects people.

This year, the United Nations highlights the theme “Water and Gender,” drawing attention to inequalities that still exist in access to water and decision-making about its management. Access to safe drinking water and adequate infrastructure is not only a question of basic living conditions but also of health, education, economic opportunities and equal rights. That is why an inclusive approach to water management is crucial for sustainable development.

Each individual has a role to play. Responsible water use, support for sustainable solutions and awareness of equal access are steps that contribute to broader change. Where water flows responsibly and is accessible, equality can also grow.

We also contribute through Aplast, where we produce our AQUAstay water tanks. These tanks enable efficient rainwater management, support sustainable practices and provide clean and safe water for all users. World Water Day is therefore not just a reminder but also a call to action – a joint effort for a future where water is accessible to everyone and serves as a foundation for a more just society.
